Some useful websites to help you plan your Astrophotography sessions.
In addition to Software that runs on your computer, there are a lot of websites that are quite useful to us Time Travelers. This is a short list of a few that I use regularly.
| Site | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Telescopius | A virtual planetarium for figuring out where to point your telescope |
| Clear Outside | See if it's a good night for imaging (or just being outside) |
| Astrospheric | Also see if it's a good night for imaging (or for the ISS) |
| SkyCal Pro | A great site for seeing what's in the skies, especially Clair Obscur Effects |
| Transit Finder | See when the ISS (or other satellites) will pass in front of the Sun or Moon |
| Astronomy Tools | This one is the Field of View calculator, but there are more at this site. Use them to figure out how your scope and camera will work together as a system |
